Lukoil plans repayment of quasi-treasury shares
The Board of Directors of Lukoil plans to repay the quasi-treasury shares of the company, which were bought by its subsidiaries in 2024-2025, in the amount of no more than 76 million units. This was announced on August 29 on the official website of the company.
"In accordance with the decision of the Board of Directors, for the purpose of determining the recommended amount of dividends on shares of PJSC Lukoil, the Lukoil Group's expenses for the acquisition of quasi—treasury shares in the 1st half of 2025 will not be taken into account when calculating adjusted free cash flow," the statement said.
In addition, when calculating the dividend per share, it is planned to deduct only 76 million from the total number of outstanding shares, which will be used for repayment.
According to data at 12:59 Moscow time, before this decision was made, the company's shares were declining by 0.55% to 6,239 rubles per paper. By 2:05 p.m., they had increased and were at the level of 6,510 rubles.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Russian stock market declined at the beginning of the morning session. Having lost 0.8%, the ruble index of the Moscow Exchange with an additional code (iMOEX2) decreased by 0.73% by 07:10 Moscow time, dropping to 2891.31 points.
