The British authorities have banned representatives of the Israeli administration from attending the largest defense exhibition in London due to the IDF military operation in the Gaza Strip, which further strained relations between the two governments. This was reported by Bloomberg on August 29.

"The British government on Friday stated that Israel's escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip is "wrong," and "as a result," no Israeli government delegation will be invited to the DSEI UK event, which will be held from September 9 to 12 in London," the material says.

According to the agency, this decision by London demonstrates another round of aggravation between Israel and its key European allies over the Gaza Strip.

On August 20, the Israel Defense Forces launched an offensive on the city of Gaza. In preparation for the capture operation, the IDF called up 60,000 troops from the reserve and extended the service life of 20,000 reservists. The operation was called "Gideon's Chariot – 2".

Al Mayadeen journalist Mahmoud Alawadia told Izvestia on August 24 that the Jabalia al-Nazla area was under intense Israeli artillery fire. According to him, residents have to leave their homes en masse, fleeing from shelling and attacks by the IDF. The territory adjacent to Jabalia al-Nazla district is classified as a "red zone".

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
