Russian troops destroyed the shock fist of the Azov militant group (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation) in the vicinity of the villages of Karpovka, Srednoye, Shandrigolovo and Derilovo in the Krasnolimansk direction. This was announced on August 29 by Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).

Azov was preparing an attack in the Krasnolimansk direction. A large group of militants and eight armored vehicles were concentrated in the forests near Karpovka, Sredny, Shandrigolovo and Derilovo.
