A military expert declared the impossibility of American ERAM missiles to resist the Russian Air Force

The American ERAM missiles that will be supplied to Ukraine do not pose a serious threat to the Russian Air Force. On August 29, Anatoly Matviychuk, a former special forces officer and retired colonel, told Izvestia.

"I think they pose no threat to our Air Force, except that we cannot give a 100% guarantee. This is a new round of escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. As soon as the first missile explodes on the territory of the Russian Federation, no agreements between the United States of America and Russia will be confirmed, that is, the negotiation process will be reduced to zero," the expert said.

Matviychuk also stressed that the delivery of these missiles would not change the course of the special military operation. According to him, neither the number of systems nor their type can significantly affect the situation.

As for Russia's reaction to the deal, the military expert said it would manifest itself in two directions.: first through diplomacy, and then through military action, which could lead to a new offensive on all fronts.

On August 28, it was reported that the US State Department approved the potential sale of more than 3,000 missiles worth $825 million ERAM to Ukraine. Kiev plans to pay for the weapons using funds provided by Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Washington.
