Fake documents were prepared for residents of the Kursk region who were taken to the Sumy region. This was announced on August 29 by Ilya Belokrylov, a resident of Sudzha, who spent more than six months in Ukrainian captivity.
"They also made the documents so that we crossed the border on our own, violated the border. Our signatures were there," TASS quoted Belokrylov as saying.
According to him, such documents were necessary for the Ukrainian side in order not to recognize the presence of civilians in captivity. He stressed that Sumach residents of the Kursk region were told that the Ukrainian authorities had allegedly saved them.
