The Brazilian government has begun to take retaliatory measures against the duties imposed by US President Donald Trump. This was reported by the Globo newspaper on August 29.

"The President of [Brazil] Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Thursday authorized the start of consultations and measures on the application of the Law on Economic Reciprocity against the United States in response to the 50% tariff that applies to Brazilian products exported to the American market," the publication says.
