The area of forest fire near Gelendzhik reached 41.5 hectares

The area of fires caused by a night attack by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the territory of the Gelendzhik forestry reached 41.5 hectares. This was announced on August 29 by the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The ministry clarified that tourists from the nearest recreation center were evacuated by boat to a safe beach.

The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on August 28 that the fire area in the Gelendzhik forestry reached 39 hectares. It was clarified that over the past 24 hours, planes and helicopters of the Southern Aviation Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia have carried out 14 missions to extinguish fires.

A fire in a forest area in Gelendzhik after the fall of the wreckage of an APU drone occurred on August 28. According to the head of the resort city, Alexei Bogodistov, no one was injured in the incident.
