About 80 applications for grants from the Mayor of Moscow for higher education in the field of culture and art have been submitted, some have already been processed. This was reported on August 29 on the city portal of the capital. mos.ru .

The Mayor's Grants are a new project through which young talents can receive support. The training will take place in Moscow universities, the list is approved by the Department of Culture of the capital.

"The first 20 holders of grants from the Mayor of Moscow have been identified. They are the most worthy applicants who have been strictly selected by our experts. In total, we have received about 80 applications," said Alexei Fursin, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Moscow Department of Culture.

20 grants will be awarded in the areas of Architecture, Cinema and Fine Arts, which will cover 100% of the entire study period. Other grants will also be provided.

By October 1, 2025, agreements will be concluded with the participants and grants will be transferred to them.

On January 30, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin signed a decree according to which the Russian Science Foundation will become the recipient of a grant from the capital for fundamental and exploratory research. The funds allocated by Moscow will be used to finance the projects of the capital's researchers, winners of the Russian Science Foundation competitions last year and this year.
