Military personnel of the 57th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Vostok group told the details of the liberation of the Zaporizhia settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region (DPR). The relevant footage is provided by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on August 29.

During the fighting, over 10 pieces of equipment were destroyed, firing points in the forest belts were suppressed and prepared defensive structures of the Ukrainian nationalists were occupied.

"Three days were enough for us to complete the task. <...> We advanced very quickly and fought back. There were two or three setbacks on their part, and they didn't make any more efforts because they didn't have enough people," said a stormtrooper with the call sign Seaman.

It is specified that artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles provided active fire support to the Russian attack aircraft.

"We are fighting back, machine guns are being deployed at once, everyone is on alert...> The enemy's tactical mistake was their carelessness and the fact that we came too close, encircled them. They were not ready for this and started to move away," the Sailor shared.

The liberation of the village of Zaporizhia strengthened the position of the Russian army in this area and took away an important point of defense from the enemy.

On August 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) Tornado-S destroyed camouflaged ammunition depots, military equipment, artillery pieces and temporary deployment sites with manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The destruction of the target was confirmed by a reconnaissance group using a drone.
