Almost every second Russian woman is ready to give up maternity leave to her spouse for the sake of career growth. This was confirmed on August 29 by the results of a survey conducted by the Level Group company.

However, according to the results of the study, one in five men (19%) is skeptical about such an idea, and another 35% consider this option only in extreme cases. 40% of respondents are neutral about going on maternity leave instead of their spouse, and another 6% fully supported this proposal.

"As a rule, the mother of a newborn child goes on parental leave, but according to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, any close relative or guardian, including the father, can do this.
