Murashko noted the importance of medical education in the context of technology development

In the context of the ongoing revolutionary changes in medical technology, it is very important to improve the education of medical personnel, and the movement of medical volunteers is now contributing to this. This was announced on August 28 by the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko during the IX All-Russian Forum of Medical Volunteers.

"The movement of medical volunteers is a huge piece of medical work in general. And it contains both educational elements and assistance directly to doctors in completely different situations. This movement is already more than nine years old today, and it is growing not only on its own projects, but also medical volunteers from other countries," said the head of the Ministry of Health.

During the meeting, the participants discussed what medicine, doctors and nurses will look like in the next decade and beyond.

"Today, technologies in healthcare are changing enormously, and, of course, it is very important to understand trends not only in technology itself, but also in education. Because a young specialist should actually be ready to use and develop these new areas already in the process of education," the minister added.

New specialists should have knowledge in the IT field, have a deeper knowledge of biology and physiology, as well as mechanics, Murashko noted. Now Russian universities are starting to train staff in such areas, expanding opportunities for students so that they can acquire new knowledge in related fields.

Staff reserve: mentors will supervise young doctors in hospitals

This is how the Ministry of Health plans to solve the problem of retaining doctors in the profession.

On August 23, the Russian Embassy in Mexico informed Izvestia that Russia and Mexico are interested in establishing cooperation in the field of information technology, medicine and pharmaceuticals. They reported that in August 2025, a business mission of Moscow companies visited Mexico City through the Moscow Export Center. Within the framework of the mission, companies from the sectors of information technology, medicine and pharmaceuticals interested in establishing cooperation with Mexican partners were represented.
