The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to the damage to civilian facilities due to the work of the Ukrainian air defense

Russia strikes exclusively at military facilities and support facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), the damage to civilian facilities is the result of the actions of the Kiev regime itself. This was announced on Thursday, August 28, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"In connection with these reports, we would like to confirm once again that the Russian Armed Forces are attacking only military facilities and support facilities for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The damage to civilian infrastructure is the result of Kiev's use of air defense systems and electronic warfare systems," Zakharova said, commenting on reports about the alleged shelling of the building of the European Union (EU) representative Office in Kiev.

She noted that reports by EU officials and the media about alleged Russian attacks on civilian targets contrast with the lack of EU response to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on civilian infrastructure and terrorist attacks, which, according to her, are carried out by the Kiev regime in Russia and lead to civilian casualties.

"All this [is happening] despite the fact that we have repeatedly cited the relevant facts on various international platforms, including the UN and the OSCE," Zakharova is quoted as saying on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
