The film about Sudoplatov will tell about operations on Stalin's secret orders
The Film Of The National Media Group "Sudoplatov. Chronicles of a Secret war through the eyes of an Eyewitness" will tell about the operations of Soviet intelligence officer Pavel Sudoplatov, who personally carried out secret orders of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The premiere of the film will take place on September 6.
The film will show the crimes of Ukrainian nationalists, as well as draw parallels with the events of our time.
"History doesn't just repeat itself, it quotes itself verbatim. And on the world stage, all the same players, all the same countries, all the same actions," said Daniil Shinkarev, the film's chief producer.
The NMG DOC film will feature archival footage of the liquidation of the leader of the Ukrainian nationalists, Yevhen Konovalets. In addition, details of the operation to eliminate the head of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA, an extremist organization banned in Russia), Roman Shukhevych, will be revealed.
The documentary will also feature unique footage and documents revealing the details of the political assassination of Leon Trotsky, led by Sudoplatov.
The NMG DOC film is based on a unique 10-hour interview in which the intelligence officer talks about his activities.
