- Izvestia News Center and The Communications Council of Nicaragua signed a cooperation agreement
Izvestia has signed a historic cooperation agreement with the Communications Council of Nicaragua. Now, viewers in both countries will enjoy even more exclusive materials and media content, and journalists will have a unique opportunity to share their experiences. But the main thing is the general principles that underpin this partnership.
During a tour of the Izvestia Multimedia Information Center, Daniel Edmundo Ortega Murillo was interested in literally everything and literally everyone. Ortega is a very sociable person, and in distant Nicaragua he holds the corresponding position — media coordinator of the Council on Communications and Citizenship. He arrived in Moscow with an important goal — to sign a cooperation agreement with Izvestia.
"I would like to thank Mr. Ortega for finding an opportunity for the world to come to us and sign this agreement at a difficult time in terms of logistics. This is very important for us. <...> Our approaches to media activities completely coincide. We adhere to the principles of objectivity and comprehensive coverage of events, so I am sure that we will succeed together," said Vladimir Tyulin, CEO of Izvestia.
This is an important step that means expanding Izvestia's presence in Central America. Russia's first private multimedia information center with a huge audience — news on several TV channels, a newspaper, online resources, social networks — and journalists from Nicaragua will now work together. Exchange of exclusive materials, co-production, even mutual internships. This is very serious for a guest of Izvestia.
"Comrades! Journalism is also a battlefield right now. On it, we fight slander, lies, and aggression! Together we must walk the road that will lead us to peace and the protection of the true truth!" said Daniel Edmundo Ortega Murillo.
This is not a translation error. The "true truth" is something that the world is sorely lacking right now. And they feel the need for that in Nicaragua. It is a beautiful country, whose geography and resources have become the reason for the constant aggression of the United States. The country was invaded, they tried to change the government. Now they live there under a constant blockade, embargo, and sanctions. The guest traveled to Russia from the capital for more than a day.
"36-38 hours. Including the transfer time," Daniel Edmundo Ortega Murillo pointed out.
After the signing, Vladimir Tyulin, General Director of Izvestia, presented the guest with a copy of the newspaper, which tells about the victory of the Nicaraguan people in the Sandinista Revolution.
The Sandinista Revolution was the moment when, after the overthrow of the dictator of Samosa, the country began to heal in a new way. This is No. 168 dated July 20, 1979, page number five, an article with the telling title "The Light of Freedom over Managua." At the very beginning, the author did not forget to note that Izvestia became the first foreign journalists who found themselves in the capital of Nicaragua immediately after the victory of the revolution there.
The photo shows jubilant revolutionaries. The Sandinistas have not stopped fighting for decades. The hated regime was supported by the West. And after its collapse, the United States invaded Nicaragua several times. They were pressured by economic measures. They have also been opposed for many years by Sandinista Jose Daniel Ortega Saavedra, the current head of the country and the father of the media coordinator of Nicaragua. Daniel Edmundo Ortega Murillo helps in the fight. He leaves Russia, having enlisted support in the battle in this information field.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
