In Yekaterinburg, a 40-year-old man was killed as a result of a motorcycle crash into a construction pit. This is reported by the city Traffic Police.

The accident occurred on Thursday morning, August 28, on Greaser Street. In the area of house No. 5, where road works were carried out, a 40-year-old Honda motorcycle driver lost control of traffic and drove into a construction pit.

According to the <url> news agency, citing an eyewitness, the motorcyclist did not notice the overlap on the road and crashed into a trench dug across the street at high speed. Judging by the photos from the scene of the tragedy, sections of a metal mesh fence fell on top of the man.

The driver suffered severe injuries, from which he died on the spot before the arrival of an ambulance. He was wearing a helmet and protective gear at the time of the accident.

It is known that the deceased man is a resident of Yekaterinburg. He got his Category A license two years ago. The circumstances of a person's death in an accident are being established.
