The British Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian Ambassador in London.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced on August 28 that the Russian ambassador in London had been summoned to the Foreign Ministry amid allegations of damage to the British Council building (the organization's activities are considered undesirable in the Russian Federation) in Kiev.
"We have summoned the Russian ambassador," Lammy wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter), without specifying the specific purpose of the visit.
The minister also stated that the building of the EU delegation was also allegedly damaged at night. He did not provide any confirmation of his statements.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on August 25 that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are striking exclusively at military installations or enterprises that are directly involved in arming the Ukrainian army. The minister also clarified that Ukraine itself had deliberately targeted churches and civilian settlements in the Russian Federation.
