One person was killed and five others were injured in a bus accident in Kuzbass.

As a result of an accident involving a light car and a bus in Kuzbass, one person was killed and five others were injured. This was announced on August 28 in the main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kemerovo region — Kuzbass.

"It was previously established that the 24-year—old driver of the LADA Priora car, when overtaking at an unregulated intersection, was not convinced of the safety of the maneuver and collided with the PAZ passenger bus, which was turning left," the Telegram channel said.

A 22-year-old passenger in the car suffered life-threatening injuries. In addition, the driver of the car, three of its passengers and one passenger of the bus received injuries of varying severity.

At the moment, law enforcement agencies are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. An inspection was also organized, according to the results of which a decision will be made in accordance with the legislation.

Transporting the injured to the hospital does not release them from responsibility for leaving the scene of the accident.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that a minor was killed and another was hospitalized in a collision between a car and a bus in the Livensky district of the Orel region. It was clarified that the driver of the VAZ-2110 (Bogdan-2110) drove into the oncoming lane, where it is allowed, and collided with a PAZ bus driven by a driver born in 2002.
