During the inspection of three bus routes near Fili metro station, inspectors and police officers found 155 stowaways. A total of 1.3 thousand passengers were checked, the press service of the Moscow transport complex reported.

"We continue to conduct enhanced fare checks in new locations. This measure helps us to improve the culture of paying for travel," said Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. He stressed that paying for travel helps to make Moscow transport more comfortable and safer.

In total, police officers and controllers of the State Institution "Organizer of Transportation" checked the fact of payment from passengers of 63 buses at Fili metro station. During the raid, one violator of migration legislation was identified.

Enhanced fare checks have been carried out in Moscow since 2023, and since April 2024 they have become weekly.

In November 2024, employees of the State Institution "Organizer of Transportation" held two events to control the payment of travel. In particular, enhanced checks were carried out on five bus routes near the Vladykino metro station. At that time, the inspectors checked the fact of fare payments for passengers on 48 buses, which is about 2.1 thousand tickets. 240 stowaways were identified. 11 violators of migration legislation were also found during the raid.

In total, the inspectors checked more than 10 million tickets last year. Liksutov noted that the number of trips in urban land transport is growing, while the number of stowaways is decreasing. Thus, tram fares began to be paid 20% more often.
