The EC declared the inadmissibility of attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline

The Druzhba oil pipeline in Russia should not be subjected to any military attacks, as it is part of European energy security. This was stated on August 28 by the official representative of the European Commission (EC) Eva Grinchirova, noting that she had discussed the issue with the authorities in Kiev.

She added that after the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the oil pipeline, the authorities of Slovakia and Hungary filed a complaint with the European Commission.

"Critical infrastructure must be protected by all parties. [The EU's] energy security was not affected after the Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes, but nevertheless, energy security remains critically important, and the Druzhba oil pipeline is no exception to this rule," she said.
