On August 28, Izvestia published photographs of Russian climber Natalia Nagovitsina, as well as her companions Roman Mokrinsky, Italian Luca Sinigaglia and German Gunther Sigmund during the ascent of Victory Peak.

So, one of the photos shows Natalia herself, who has already suffered a leg injury, and Luka hugging her. The climbers fixed her leg with a tent pole.

Earlier in the day, Belarusian mountaineer Artyom Tsentsevitsky reported that Nagovitsina was not allowed to climb Victory Peak a year ago. Serious preparation is needed to climb Victory Peak. According to Tsentsevitsky, Nagovitsina could not climb the mountain peak at that time.

The fact that 47-year-old Nagovitsina was stuck at Victory Peak became known on August 19. She broke her leg during the descent and has been at altitude for about two weeks. Later, on August 23, the head of the mountaineering base camp, Dmitry Grekov, announced the completion of the rescue operation at that time. On August 27, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan officially recognized Nagovitsina as missing.

On the same day, the presidential administration of Kyrgyzstan showed footage from a drone that circled Victory Peak to monitor Nagovitsina. The State Committee for National Security of the country reported that, following aerial surveys, it found no signs that the Russian climber was alive.
