The most cheaper cars in Russia over the summer are listed
In the summer of 2025, while maintaining overall price stability in the Russian car market, a number of brands recorded a decrease in the cost of cars compared to the spring. This was reported to Izvestia on August 28 by Avito Auto experts, who analyzed the data on the platform.
The largest price decrease was recorded for the GAC brand — the average price for new brand cars decreased by 31.7%, from 4.39 million to 2.99 million rubles.
Cars of the St. Petersburg brand Solaris also became cheaper (-4.6%). Prices for passenger cars of several other brands also decreased, but not so significantly: Haval (-1.8%), Omoda (-1.5%) and Chery (-1%).
The price reduction is especially pronounced for certain popular models. Three Haval models were in the top at once: H3 crossovers (-6.2%), Jolion (-5.8%) and M6 (-5.2%). Prices for the Chery Tiggo 4 and Jaecoo J7 also decreased by 3.8% each. Omoda C5 became more affordable by 3.5%, and Chery Tiggo 7L — by 3.4%.
"The decrease in average prices is largely due to a change in the market structure: when more budget models are available, the average price for cars of a particular brand decreases," the experts explained.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the leader of the rating of the most popular crossovers in the Russian secondary market for the first seven months of 2025 is the Toyota RAV4 (excluding VAZ Niv in the SUV segment).
Yesterday it became known that over the past 10 years, the number of passenger cars in Russia has increased by 8.7 million units and reached 53 million. Back in 2022, there were 50.6 million cars in the country.
