A farewell ceremony for Kirill Vyshinsky, a journalist, executive director of the Rossiya Segodnya agency and a member of the Presidential Human Rights Council (HRC), has begun in Moscow. The footage appeared on August 28 at the disposal of Izvestia.

The presented footage shows that the visitors who came to say goodbye to the figure are standing with wreaths and flowers during the memorial service. The ceremony was attended by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, and Dmitry Kiselyov, Director General of the Rossiya Segodnya agency.

"Vyshinsky was one of the best in his generation for Ukraine. And unfortunately, Ukraine is wasting and destroying so stupidly, abandoning its people. Kirill fell into the millstones of history and fully experienced all the cruelty, all the cynicism of this Nazi regime," Kiselyov believes.

At the same time, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that Vyshinsky wrote his name in the history of journalism, and also, despite the actions of the Kiev regime against the man, he was not broken in spirit and continued his professional activities.

"This is a man who has written his name in the history of world journalism. This is a person who can really qualify legally, socially, and socially, as a victim of the Kiev regime, but only his physical body has suffered. He was not broken in spirit. He did not become a victim, he did not break down," Zakharova said.

The death of a journalist in Moscow after a serious and prolonged illness became known on August 23. Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences over Vyshinsky's death, and also called the media representative a strong-minded man who honestly fulfilled his professional duty. At the same time, Zakharova said that Vyshinsky fought against those who do not respect freedom of speech, and his death is a huge loss for world journalism.

In May 2018, he was arrested by the Ukrainian side on charges of treason because of his professional position. In September 2019, after spending 470 days in custody, he was released as part of an exchange between Russia and Ukraine.
