Experts noted the growing interest of Russians in moving to country houses
Almost half of Russians would like to sell their apartments and move to their own homes because they are tired of neighbors, according to a study by TSTN, which was reviewed by Izvestia on August 30.
According to the study, 59% of Russian residents want to move to live in private homes. However, only 43% are willing to sell their apartments for this. The majority of Russians consider the absence of neighbors behind the wall to be the main advantage of their own home (41%), and the large area of houses in comparison with standard apartments (26%). The study participants also noted the possibility of having a private plot to grow vegetables and fruits (21%), and the prospect of having a spacious terrace (12%).
"Today we are seeing a tendency to reduce the average area of apartments, which is caused by the need to reduce the total purchase price against the background of the increased price per square meter of urban housing. Compact living in apartments can be quite comfortable for families of two or three people, but if the family is large, then, of course, your own house looks like a more attractive option for permanent residence," said Anatoly Nesterov, General Director of TSTN.
According to him, building or buying your own house provides an opportunity to create a spacious space that can be easily adapted to your requirements. In addition, it allows for the most efficient use of the land.
On July 23, Andrey Tumanov, chairman of the Moscow Horticultural Union NGO, said that physical labor in the countryside helps to improve health and prolong life. In his opinion, growing plants is not as easy as it seems, and due to erroneous recommendations, yields in dachas have noticeably decreased.
