The most expensive vacation in August cost Russians almost 2 million rubles.
A record amount of money was spent by a company of four travelers (including one child), who spent 14 days in a four-star hotel in the seaside town of Forte dei Marmi in Italy, paying 1,910,000 rubles, and only breakfast was included in the price. Travel planning service OneTwoTrip named the most expensive hotel bookings that its customers made in the last month of summer. The results of the study were reviewed by Izvestia on August 29.
In second place was a six-day vacation in Paris, where three travelers went. All this time they lived in a five-star hotel located in a real castle. This experience cost 1,510,000 rubles, meals were not included in the room rate.
"An impressive sum of 1,220,000 rubles was also spent by a family of four (including a child) who spent seven days on vacation in Belek. For the August holidays, they chose a five—star all-inclusive hotel," the analysts said.
Vacations in London and Cannes also made it to the top. In the capital of Great Britain, one traveler spent eight days in a five-star hotel for 1,215,000 rubles (meals were not included in this amount). And in a resort town on the Cote d'Azur, two Russians spent seven days vacationing in a five-star hotel without food, paying 1,082,000 rubles for it.
Adler turned out to be the leader of the Russian rating: 11 days in a five-star spa hotel cost a family of three with a child 1,449,000 rubles, and this amount included only breakfast.
Next on the list of the most expensive orders is a seven-day vacation in Vladivostok, where a company of eight people chose a five-star hotel without meals, paying 755,000 rubles.
"The holidays in Anapa were on the third line: in the southern resort, three people spent six days relaxing in a five-star all-inclusive hotel. This vacation cost them 696,000 rubles," the service shared.
In addition, trips to St. Petersburg and Moscow were in the top, and companies of three people vacationed in both cities. The holidays in the Northern Capital lasted 16 days; travelers chose a five-star hotel with breakfast for 575,000 rubles. And in Moscow, OneTwoTrip customers spent 405,000 rubles on a 15-day stay in a four-star hotel with breakfast.
Earlier, on August 11, tourism expert Valentina Lyubaeva spoke about a budget vacation by the sea. In the first half of autumn, she recommended paying attention to holidays in Abkhazia and Nha Trang (Vietnam), in the second half — to the Maldives and Dagestan.
