Oil supply through the Druzhba pipeline to Slovakia, which was attacked by Ukraine last week, has resumed. This was announced on August 28 by the Minister of Economy of the Republic Denisa Sakova.

"The oil supply in Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline has been restored! I hope the pumping will remain stable and there will be no more attacks on the energy infrastructure," the minister wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).

In addition, according to the Reuters news agency, the resumption of supplies was also confirmed by the Hungarian oil company MOL in an email.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto announced on August 22 that the Druzhba oil pipeline was again attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). As a result of the incident, oil supplies to Hungary were suspended.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said on August 26 that he was unable to understand the purpose of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attacks on the country's oil infrastructure. He described the strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline as "bad intentions." In turn, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in an interview with Izvestia, called the attack pure banditry. She stressed that in international law such activities are classified as terrorist.
