As a result of heavy smoke caused by a forest fire in Gelendzhik, 23 tourists were cut off from escape routes. This was announced on August 28 by the press service of the department.

"Due to heavy smoke, 23 vacationers on the Black Sea coast in the area of a forest fire were cut off from evacuation routes. They are being transported to a safe place on the GIMS boat of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations," the message posted on the Telegram channel says.
