The most demanded crossovers in the secondary market of Russia are named
The leader of the rating of the most in-demand crossovers in the Russian secondary market for the first seven months of 2025 is the Toyota RAV4 (excluding VAZ Niv in the SUV segment), 29.4 thousand such cars were resold in the country during this period. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on August 28.
According to him, Renault Duster is in second place (19.2 thousand units), the top five were supplemented by Volkswagen Tiguan (18.3 thousand units) and two Nissan — X-Trail (18 thousand units) and Qashqai (17.6 thousand units). Next are Mitsubishi Outlander, Hyundai Creta, BMW X5, Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda CR-V, Kia Sorento and Hyundai Tucson.
"In total, we've got a dozen popular crossovers. The closest "Chinese" Haval Jolion is still only in 34th place in this list (6,221 units) — between Mitsubishi Pajero and Suzuki Jimny," the analyst noted.
In just seven months, more than 850 thousand crossovers were resold on the secondary market, the number of models exceeds 650 units, the analyst said. The share of the crossover and SUV segment in the used car market is 26%, which is almost three times less than in the new car market (72%).
The day before, it was reported that over the past 10 years, the number of passenger cars in Russia has increased by 8.7 million units and reached 53 million. Back in 2022, there were 50.6 million cars in the country.
