A man who was swept away by the current into the Sea of Okhotsk on a barrel of fuel and lubricants while crossing the river Rear on a truck, died. This was reported to Izvestia on August 28 by the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

It is noted that the body of a 38-year-old man was discovered by local residents on the coast in the Tuguro-Chemikansky district.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations clarified that the deceased was handed over to police officers for further action.

The man was swept away by the current to the Sea of Okhotsk on August 27. It was noted that the water level in the Rear River rose sharply against this background, the motor of the transport stalled. At the same time, two men were able to escape on their own. The search for the missing man was conducted using the Mi-8 helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
