The driver was killed in a train accident in the Amur region.
In the Amur Region, on the Trans-Baikal Railway, a passenger car driver ended up on the tracks in front of a moving passenger train and died in a collision. This was announced on August 28 by the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"A passenger car driver drove to a regulated railway crossing between Mokhovaya Pad and Blagoveshchensk stations of the Trans—Baikal Railway in front of an approaching passenger train," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
It is noted that the driver activated emergency braking, but it was not possible to avoid a collision. The driver of the car died on the spot. Passengers and staff of the train did not seek medical help.
The acting Blagoveshchensk transport prosecutor went to the scene. Police officers are conducting an investigation into the incident.
On August 27, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Tomsk Region reported that one person was killed and six injured in a collision between two cars. It was clarified that four people and one piece of equipment were involved from the Ministry of Emergency Situations to eliminate the consequences.
