CSKA defeated Baltika in the group stage match of the Russian Cup RPL

Moscow football club (FC) CSKA defeated Kaliningrad Baltika in the 3rd round of the group stage of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Cup of Russia. The match took place on August 27 and ended with a score of 2:0.

The midfielder of the capital club Ivan Oblyakov brought victory to his team, scoring twice in the second half from the penalty spot (77th minute, 89th). The first free kick was awarded due to the fact that the ball hit the hand of Baltika defender Kevin Andrade. For the second time, the ball fell into the hands of defender Amir Mohammad, as a result of which the referee awarded another penalty.

The CSKA team scored seven points and topped the Group D standings. Baltika, in turn, is on the fourth line.

On the same day, another Moscow football club Dynamo suffered its second defeat in a row in the third round match of the group stage of the Cup of Russia, losing to Samara Krylia Sovetov in a penalty shootout with a score of 5:4. The game was held in Samara. In regular time, the teams played with a score of 0:0. In the penalty shootout, Alexander Soldatenkov, Alexey Sutormin, Ilzat Akhmetov, Jimmy Marin and Kirill Pechenin scored goals for the Samara club.
