Police have detained two men who threw stones at the motorcade of Argentine President Javier Miley in Buenos Aires. This was announced on August 27 by the Argentine TV channel TN.

"Police have arrested two men for attacking a van carrying the president, his sister Karina Miley and candidate Jose Luis Espert," the publication says.

It is specified that one of the detainees was released shortly after the arrest. The second man is currently in custody at the Lomas de Zamora police station.

On the same day, the Reuters news agency reported that protesters gathered at a public election event threw stones at the Argentine president's motorcade. At the time of the incident, the car increased its speed and hurriedly drove through this section of the road. Following the departing motorcade, people shouted slogans and called on the current head of state to "go away."
