The Federation Council assessed the future of relations between Russia and the United States

In the next two months, it will become clear whether relations between the Russian Federation and the United States are moving towards normalization or aggravation, Vladimir Dzhabarov, first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, told Izvestia.

Germany and Norway have announced additional aid, and Americans are increasingly pulling back.

"[American leader Donald] Trump sees that the sanctions on Russia, to the extent that their authors hoped, have not worked. Moreover, sanctions are like a boomerang returning to those who imposed them," the politician said.

The US president said that sanctions should be imposed against Ukraine so that Brussels and Kiev would be careful not to oppose peace initiatives, Jabarov concluded.
