Classes in film lecture halls and film clubs are becoming increasingly popular in the Moscow Longevity project. This was announced on Wednesday, August 27, on the website of the Moscow City Hall.

Vladimir Filippov, Deputy Head of the Department of Labor and Social Protection, noted that educational programs are in demand among the older generation, and film libraries have already entered the top 20 destinations. Here you can watch new movies and classics, study the history of cinema and meet with experts.

For the third year, the Moskino network has been a partner of the project, where lectures on making films and showing iconic paintings are given to participants, writes RT. For example, Galina Beregovaya, an active participant in the program, admitted that lectures help to better understand the work of screenwriters and directors, as well as inspire their own creativity.

Film lectures are held in 11 Moskino cinemas, and recently 14 more venues joined the project, Moscow 24 notes.

In addition, there is a film club: screenings and discussions with film critics, directors and actors take place weekly on Wednesdays. Yuri Stoyanov, Alexander Domogarov Jr., Artyom Mikhalkov and others have already been guests. The latter stressed that such meetings unite the older generation and give good emotions, the Moscow City News agency reports.

All Muscovites over the age of 55 can join the film club. The schedule is available on the project's website.

On August 21, it was reported that the participants of the "Active Longevity" from Mytishchi visited more than 40 cities in 6 years. Participants of the program are happy to go on excursions around the Moscow region, combining new experiences with studying the history of their native land. 360.ru .

In May, Olga Tkacheva, a geriatrician at the Russian Ministry of Health, spoke about methods of slowing aging and the role of autophagy. According to her, longevity is promoted by a balanced diet and intermittent fasting, a positive attitude, stress tolerance, an active social life and sports — all this is typical for the "blue zones" of the world, NSN notes.
