In the Trans-Baikal Territory, due to the predicted decrease in temperature and frosts, heating will be turned on a week earlier. This is reported by ChitaMedia news agency with reference to the press service of the regional government.

The main heating season in Transbaikalia starts on September 15. But due to the expected general cooling in the first days of autumn, the dates may be shifted by more than a week.

First Deputy Governor Alexander Kostenko noted that the heads of municipalities are personally responsible for preparing facilities for winter.

But the amount of penalties should be several times higher than planned, the State Duma believes.

On August 20, Fyodor Vasiliev, a construction expert and general director of GLAVSNAB, said that in autumn it was necessary to properly prepare the country house and the house for the upcoming cold weather, and it was dangerous to ignore these works, because in winter mistakes resulted in a leaking roof, broken pipes or a frozen cellar.
