Pedro Almodovar demanded that the Spanish government break off relations with Israel
Filmmaker Pedro Almodovar has called on the Spanish government to sever relations with Israel. Almodovar's video message was posted on August 27 on the Instagram account of the El Deseo production company (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and whose activities are prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation).
"I ask our government to sever diplomatic, commercial and any other relations with the State of Israel as a sign of condemnation of the genocide it is carrying out against the people of Gaza in front of the whole world," the director said.
Almodovar also appealed to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez to convince other European countries to join the severance of relations with Israel. In addition, the director invited users to post their own appeals with the same appeal on social networks.
