The police began checking after the beating of the head of the district in the Penza region

Law enforcement officers have launched an investigation into the conflict involving the use of physical force in the Penza region. This was announced on August 27 by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The conflict occurred in the Kamensky district of the region. The identities of all the participants in the incident have been established.

"The man who caused the injuries was taken to the police station. An investigation is currently underway into this fact," the ministry said in a statement.

According to TASS, the victim was Alexander Pomogaibo, the head of the Kamensky district of the Penza region.

Earlier that day, a man attacked Interior Ministry officers at a house on Shchelkovsky Highway in Moscow. It was clarified that the attacker had a knife. It was noted that he also threatened law enforcement officers.
