Masha and the Bear Channel became the most popular in the Ukrainian segment of YouTube

The channel of the Russian animated series Masha and the Bear has become the most popular children's YouTube channel in Ukraine. This was reported on August 27 by the Ukrainian online publication "Страна.иа ".

"The series has been translated into Ukrainian and a separate channel has been created for it, in which Ukraine is indicated as the country," the publication's Telegram channel says.

The series has 18 million subscribers on its channel, and in less than 2025 it has garnered more than 800 million views. The publication also pointed out that among the 10 most popular children's YouTube channels, the majority are Russian-speaking.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on August 21 that Kiev was pursuing a neo-Nazi policy of exterminating all Russians. Earlier that day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky refused to raise the status of the Russian language in the country in resolving the conflict. He noted that Ukrainian is the only official language there.

Russian Russian Foreign Minister Zakharova announced on August 20 that there were no comments from the West about the situation of the Russian language and Russian people in Ukraine. She clarified that the country has adopted many laws on the destruction of the Russian language, contrary to its official consolidation in the constitution.
