Volkswagen unveils the second-generation T-Roc crossover

Volkswagen has introduced the second-generation T-Roc crossover for the European market. Deliveries of cars will begin in the fall, the basic modification will cost from €30.8 thousand euros (2.87 million rubles in translation), the press service of the German manufacturer reported.

With the change of generation, Volkswagen T-Roc acquired a new body design, adopting stylistic elements from the ID. electric vehicle line, and increased in size: the length of the model is 4373 mm (+122 mm), the wheelbase is 2631 mm (+28 mm). The trunk volume increased by 30 liters to 475 liters. The size of the rims can be up to 20 inches.

The interior design and architecture are borrowed from other modern models of the brand. Depending on the configuration, the size of the central screen can be 10.4 or 12.9 inches, it is combined with a 10-inch dashboard, and a projection display is optionally available. The list of equipment includes, among other things, chairs with 14-position adjustments and a Harman Kardon audio system. The list of assistants includes an automatic lane-changing function and a parking system with memory and remote control.

With the change of generation, T-Roc switched to the updated MQB Evo platform. At the first stage, the T-Roc will be offered with two 1.5 engines with a front—wheel drive soft hybrid system and two boost options - 116 or 150 hp. Later, the line will include full-fledged hybrid systems, as well as two-liter versions with all-wheel drive.

The second-generation T-Roc debuted eight years ago and became the brand's second most popular model after the Tiguan, with sales exceeding 2 million units during that time. The model was not officially presented on the Russian market.
