An emergency warning was announced in the Urals due to impending bad weather.

An emergency warning has been issued in the Sverdlovsk Region. Heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected on Thursday, August 28.

The press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations advised not to use electrical appliances during a thunderstorm, and to close windows and doors in the premises. It is better to avoid open areas and high objects on the street, and avoid flooded areas.

Rains in the region are possible on August 28 and 29. In the north of the region, they will be strong at night. With gusts, the wind speed will reach 15 m/s. At night, the air temperature will drop to +6 degrees, and during the day it will rise no higher than +20 degrees, writes <url> news agency.

Earlier, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said that the weather in September in Russia is expected to be moderate, without sharp climatic anomalies. According to him, a characteristic feature of the month will be weather close to long—term standards in most of the country, from the western borders to Siberia.
