More than 1.1 thousand residents of the Pskov region fell ill with acute respiratory viral infections in a week

Over the past week, 1,165 cases of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) were detected in the Pskov region. 16 people were hospitalized.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, children under the age of 14 account for 55.2% of the incidence. This is reported by the Pskov news feed.

In addition, 34 cases of acute intestinal infections were registered during the week. This corresponds to the long-term average.

Vaccination against influenza started in the region on August 25. Doctors expect a seasonal increase in the incidence in September, when school groups will be re-formed and the holiday season will end.
