The Indian space industry is ready for large-scale investments from Russia, and numerous high-tech projects allow for large-scale participation of foreign capital. This was announced on August 27 by Indian Ambassador to Moscow Vinay Kumar at an event dedicated to the National Cosmonautics Day of India.

"Celebrating this event, we are talking not only about the achievements of my country, India, Indian scientists and Indian organizations, but also about the friendship between India and Russia and the friendship between the space organizations of the two countries. <...> I urge all sectors, including scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors to pay attention to the opportunities that exist in India," TASS quoted him as saying.

In addition, the diplomat spoke in detail about the conditions for large-scale investments that the Russian side could provide. For example, there is currently a regime in the Russian Federation under which the possible share of foreign direct investment (FDI) can reach 100% in programs related to ground stations and technical aspects of the space industry. There are also projects with satellite communications and related systems, in which up to 70-74% of FDI is allowed. Russia also has other areas, including launchers and related systems, where up to 49% of foreign direct investment is allowed.

"Thus, we not only continue the cooperation that we have with Roscosmos, but also invite Russian scientists and entrepreneurs to become our partners in the space industry," Kunar said.

On July 17, Indian Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh announced the development of the state's own space station. According to him, the country is open to conducting foreign experiments and receiving astronauts. He believes that it should be operational by 2035.
