In the workshop of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, the systems of the fully import-substituted Russian medium-haul aircraft MS-21 were tested for the strength of the aircraft. This was announced on August 27 in the press service of PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (part of Rostec State Corporation).

"Yakovlev PJSC specialists have completed ground frequency tests of the second import-substituted sample of the MC—21 medium-range aircraft," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that during the testing of the civilian vessel, domestic power supply systems, hydraulic systems, integrated control systems, as well as landing gear systems and electronic equipment were tested. Thus, the test included testing of integrated control system units and chassis units when vibrations with different frequencies were excited.

In addition, the chief designer of the MC-21, Vitaly Naryshkin, clarified that such aircraft tests are an important stage of the certification program, ensuring the reliability of the import—substituted airliner before the actual flight.

On August 21, Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation, said that the MC-21 aircraft would be much more modern and comfortable than some of its Western competitors— Airbus or Boeing. In particular, the new Russian aircraft industry will have wider aisles between seats, larger portholes and more spacious luggage racks.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
