The French government has sent instructions to the regional health agencies (ARS) on how to prepare medical staff for the possible admission of a large number of patients from the war zone. This was reported on August 27 by the French newspaper Le Canard enchaine.

"On the instructions of [the French Minister of Labor, Health and Solidarity] Catherine Vautrin hospitals should be ready to receive thousands of wounded soldiers in the event of a large—scale armed conflict in Europe," the publication says.
