Restrictions on the operation of the mobile Internet have begun to be relaxed in Crimea. This was announced on August 27 by the head of the region Sergey Aksenov.

"We started increasing the speed of the mobile Internet and reduced the area where restrictions occur," Aksyonov said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

According to him, this decision was coordinated with the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia. He also added that the restrictions in the region are temporary and necessary for security purposes.

On August 12, the Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of Crimea announced the possibility of disabling mobile Internet for a long period. At the same time, the ministry stressed that cellular communications and cable Internet providers will work.
