Football player Arseniy Eroshevich, who died after being beaten, said goodbye in Shchelkovo

In Shchelkovo, they said goodbye to 20-year-old football player Arseniy Eroshevich, who died after a brutal beating. Footage from the funeral service on August 27 is published by Izvestia.

The funeral service was held in the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Not only relatives came to see Arseny off, many people gathered near the temple. The dead man's soccer ball was brought in as a farewell.

On the morning of August 17, a group of young men beat local resident Arseniy Eroshevich near a nightclub on Proletarian Avenue in Shchelkovo. A criminal case was opened into the incident under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health").

On August 23, the footballer's sister said that Eroshevich died in the hospital. She found out about her brother's death when she came to visit him.

Three attackers were detained, two of them pleaded guilty. On August 25, the fourth person involved in the case was arrested, who beat a football player to death.
