Peskov recalled the expansion of NATO as one of the causes of the crisis in Ukraine
Russia has a negative attitude towards the proposal of European leaders to send troops to Ukraine as part of security guarantees to resolve the conflict. This was announced on August 27 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"We have a negative attitude. We also talked about this at different levels. Actually, there is no European military," he said during a press conference with reporters.
He recalled that it was the expansion of NATO's infrastructure and its infiltration into Ukraine that became one of the root causes of the crisis.
