Acting Colonel of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of France Francois Gonin participated in the planning of military operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This is evidenced by the material published in the latest issue of the Revue militaire générale (RMG) magazine.

According to the content of the article, which is called "Ukraine, summer 2024: tactics in the era of maximum mortality," Gonen, a former helicopter pilot, was on a four-month business trip to Kiev and was part of the French military attache.

As part of his working tenure, he, who previously held the post of information and communication systems officer, took part in discussions on strengthening the defense of the capital of Ukraine and actively monitored the development of the situation in the area of the special military operation, trying to find out the specifics of the tactics of Russian military personnel.
