French police have detained two minors on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts in synagogues and near the Eiffel Tower. This was reported by the newspaper Le Figaro on August 26.

"Two teenagers wanted to attack synagogues and the Eiffel Tower. The suspects, who were born in Val-de-Marne and Paris in 2010 and 2008, were arrested on July 29 and 30 as part of an investigation launched in April 2025," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, they were charged for actions carried out within the framework of a "terrorist criminal community." It was clarified that the detainees, being from families of Arab-Muslim origin, were in contact with representatives of a secret community, and also tried to buy weapons through the darknet (DarkNet — shadow Internet).

According to the publication, they were supporters and propagandists of the ideology of the "Islamic State" ("Islamic State" (IS, ISIL, a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation).

On August 26, Tagesspiegel learned that the Berlin Court of Appeal had found a 16-year-old teenager guilty of preparing a terrorist attack at a concert by American singer Taylor Swift. The teenager, who was an ISIS supporter, helped one of the Austrian citizens to make a bomb, which was planned to be detonated at a concert taking place in Vienna in 2024.
