The Lancet crew destroyed the AFU UAV control center in the Kherson region

Servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) of the 18th Combined Arms Army from the Dnepr group of forces used Lancet attack drones to eliminate a mobile UAV control point with personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kherson region on the right bank of the Dnieper River. This was announced on August 27 by the Ministry of Defense.

It is specified that the operator of the Zala reconnaissance drone, during a planned flyby, revealed the movement of equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the forest belt, after which he transmitted the recorded coordinates to the Lancet control center. The operators of the barrage ammunition, having learned the location of the target, destroyed it with an accurate hit.

"The tasks of our unit mainly consist in hitting enemy targets. First, the scouts identify the targets and give us the coordinates. We <...> inflict fire damage on the target," said the commander of the strike squad with the call sign Walrus.

According to him, we have to work on the elimination of barrel artillery, self-propelled artillery units (self-propelled guns), tanks, armored combat vehicles (armored personnel carriers), radar systems (radars) and electronic warfare (EW).

The ministry clarified that thanks to working with UAVs, military personnel can track enemy movements in real time, as well as adjust strikes.

On August 26, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported the destruction of personnel and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by UAV operators of the Vostok group of forces in the Yuzhnodonets direction in the area of a special military operation. The targets — a group of militants and a vehicle used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to transport ammunition and equipment to the line of contact — were also found in a wooded area.
