The Tornado-S MLRS crews destroyed the equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the special operation zone

Calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) Tornado-S of the 79th Guards rocket Artillery Brigade of the Zapad group of forces destroyed camouflaged ammunition depots, military equipment, artillery pieces and temporary deployment sites for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of the special military operation in the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR). This was announced on August 27 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Calculations of the latest generation Tornado-S MLRS deliver precise strikes against key enemy military installations at a significant distance from the line of contact. The footage shows how the MLRS crew is preparing for combat work: military personnel remove camouflage nets from the installation and move out of hiding to the starting position.

After the aerial scouts found the target, the soldiers deployed the combat vehicle from a marching position to a combat position, aimed the gun and fired a salvo of 300-millimeter rockets. The destruction of the target was confirmed by the reconnaissance group using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Having completed the task, the crew promptly left the firing position, avoiding a possible retaliatory strike.

"The goals come in a variety of ways. The most priority for us are similar complexes from the enemy, as well as radar detection equipment, and there were a lot of mobile targets," said the head of the calculation of the Tornado-S MLRS combat vehicle with the call sign Neva.

During the special operation, Tornado-S MLRS crews are working around the clock, hitting remote and camouflaged targets of Ukrainian militants, including firing positions, ammunition depots and fuel. Despite the difficult conditions, trained crews, using maneuver tactics, are able to open fire within a few minutes after receiving the target designation.

Unmanned platforms with electronic warfare systems are on duty in firing positions, suppressing enemy UAVs and saving the lives of gun crews.

On August 26, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the UAV operators of the Vostok group of forces had hit the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Yuzhnodonets area of the special operation. It was clarified that during the reconnaissance, a group of Ukrainian militants was discovered in the forest belt. The Russian military launched an air strike and destroyed the target.
